Hurricane Katrina is certain to be the most devastating hurricane to make landfall in the United States in our recorded history. President Bush has declared this as "one of the worst natural disasters in our nation's history", many will agree with him. This web site is a work in progress. We will try to update it as frequently as possible. The impacts and effects are still unraveling and will be posted here as they are updated. The meteorological data posted here hopefully will alow novices to understand Katrina a little better. Sources of the data used here are found under acknowledgements. We welcome feedback or comments.

If you have not done so already, we urge you to help those affected by this disaster by donating whatever you can. Several organizations are accepting online donations starting with as little as $5.00. The links provided here are just a few examples of where you can go to help.
