A Strong Squall Line -
The sequence of Doppler radar reflectivity images shows the development of a bow echo within a squall line over eastern Missouri/western Illinois. Note the heavy precipitation (red) on the leading edge of the squall line and the development of a bow shape to the line as it approaches St. Louis in the center of the image.
