Precipitation Forecast - The animation shows three hour forecasts of precipitation, mean sea level pressure and location of the 0° C isotherm. Precipitation type is coded by color: green is rain, orange is freezing rain, freezing drizzle or sleet, blue is snow. Note that the 0° isotherm is essentially stationary during the beginning of the animation. Persistent freezing rain in northern Oklahoma associated with this slow moving system resulted in large accumulations of glaze.
