850mb Heights & Temperature
- The 850mb pattern shows distinct southerly flow along the Texas/Louisiana border into
Oklahoma/Arkansas. This transport of moist air from the Gulf provided moisture to clouds that eventually
produced record-breaking accumulations of ice in northern Oklahoma. Cold temperatures (blue, purple) are
visible north and west of the 850mb low.
