Notice that during the initial stages of the cyclone, the
driest air (low dewpoints) was located north of the low, and by the end of the animation the dry
air has wrapped all the way around the low-pressure center. Contoured maps such as these allow
meteorologists to quickly analyze and evaluate weather situations.
